Risk Assessment/All Hazards Mitigation Plan/GIS

 

The main project of Jefferson County Project Impact has been to develop a GIS-based Risk Assessment and All Hazards Plan for the County and the municipalities of Bolivar, Charles Town, Harpers Ferry, Ranson and Shepherdstown. 

 

The Risk Assessment/All Hazards Plan has been approved by the Project Impact Steering Committee and has gone through the adoption phase. The plan was adopted by the County Commission and Municipalities on the following dates: 

 

March 13                Jefferson County Commission

 

March 17                Charles Town

 

March 18                Ranson

 

April 1                    Bolivar

 

April 8                    Shepherdstown

 

April 14                  Harpers Ferry

 

The plan was reviewed and approved by the WV Office of Emergency Services on June 3, 2003 and sent to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region III, Philadelphia, PA for final approval.
