Steering Committee
The Steering Committee works with the Project Impact Coordinator to guide the activities of Jefferson County Project Impact. A Steering Committee made up of public and private representation serves as the decision-making body of the organization. The Jefferson County Commission has fiscal responsibility for Project Impact funds and all grants and projects requiring additional funding must be submitted to them for approval prior to being submitted to other agencies. Additionally, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) must review and approve all projects prior to any committee either committing or spending funds.
