Commission Seeks Applicants for Volunteer Boards- November 6, 2025

CHARLES TOWN, WV (November 6, 2025) – The Jefferson County Commission intends to appoint to the following authorities, boards, commissions, or committees.

Current Openings:
- Jefferson County Property Safety Board: one, two-year term
- Jefferson County Board of Zoning Appeals: one, unexpired term (alternate) and one, regular term
- Jefferson County Emergency Services Council: five, staggered terms (1, 2, and 3-year terms)
- South Jefferson Library Board: two, five-year terms
- Hagerstown/ Eastern Panhandle Metropolitan Planning Organization: one opening (must be an elected official of a municipality)
- Jefferson County Deputy Sheriffs Civil Service Commission
- HOME Consortium: one, unexpired term
Upcoming Openings:
- Jefferson County Board of Zoning Appeals: two, 3-year terms (opening in January)
- Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority: one, 2-year term (opening in January)
