Commission Celebrates Successful Inaugural Town Hall at Commission Meeting

CHARLES TOWN, WV (November 21, 2025) – Following the strong positive feedback received after the Future of Fire Service town halls, the Jefferson County Commission has established similar two-way discussions as a standing practice. Thursday’s town hall marked the first of this new series and drew dozens of residents eager to engage, ask questions, and learn more about county initiatives.
The event brought together residents, local business owners, community stakeholders focused on balanced growth, and county officials for an open conversation about key issues facing Jefferson County. Participants had the opportunity to pose questions directly to commissioners.
“We are setting new standards for transparency by setting records for the most town hall meetings in county history,” said Jefferson County Commission President Pasha Majdi. “These forums are a great way to hear directly from residents, and that’s exactly what we want.”
Moving forward, the Jefferson County Commission will hold a community town hall at the second Commission meeting of each month, beginning at 5:30 PM.
