CHARLES TOWN, WV (May 28, 2026) – The Jefferson County Commission intends to appoint to the following authorities, boards, commissions, or committees.

Current Openings:
- Jefferson Agritourism Taskforce: one, 3-year term
- Jefferson County Board of Health: one, 5-year term
- Jefferson County Building Code Board of Appeals: five, 2- year terms
- Jefferson County Board of Zoning Appeals: two alternate seats, 3-year terms
- Jefferson County Development Authority: three, 3-year terms
- Jefferson County Property Safety Board: three, 2-year terms
- Jefferson Solid Waste Authority: one, 4-year term
- Jefferson County Water Advisory Committee- one resident term (3 years), one Shepherdstown Water Department term, one Harpers Ferry Water Works term, and one West Virginia State Department of Environmental Protection term.
- HOME Consortium of the Eastern Panhandle: one, 3-year term
- Parks and Recreation Commission: four, 3-year terms
- South Jefferson Library Board: three, five-year terms
- Region 9- Eastern Panhandle Regional Planning and Development Council: one, 2-year term
Upcoming Openings:
- Farmland Protection Board: one farmer and soil conservation district member, and 1 public member (September)
