Jefferson County Commission Congratulates Assessor Angie Banks on Receiving Statewide Ralph C. Boyles Memorial Achievement Award

CHARLES TOWN, WV (June 9, 2026) – The Jefferson County Commission proudly congratulates Jefferson County Assessor Angie Banks on being named the 2026 recipient of the Ralph C. Boyles Memorial Achievement Award, one of the highest honors presented to county assessors in West Virginia.
The Ralph C. Boyles Award is presented annually to an assessor who demonstrates excellence and professionalism in property tax administration, including compliance with tax laws, innovation in office procedures, effective communications, fiscal responsibility, and leadership in county government.
Assessor Banks was recognized for her dedication to public service, professionalism, responsiveness to constituents, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of property tax administration. She was also commended for supporting staff, maintaining meticulous records, and demonstrating a commitment to both her office and the broader community.
Commission President Pasha Majdi praised Banks for her leadership and service to Jefferson County. “Assessor Angie Banks represents the very best of public service,” said Majdi. “She leads with professionalism, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the people of Jefferson County. This award reflects not only her expertise and dedication, but also the high standard of service her office provides every day. We are incredibly proud to see her recognized at the state level.”
Although there are 55 county assessors in West Virginia, this marks the second time in just over a decade that Assessor Banks has received the Ralph C. Boyles Memorial Achievement Award. She was previously honored with the award in 2014, underscoring a sustained record of leadership, professionalism, and statewide recognition in property tax administration.
The Jefferson County Commission is honored to be represented by Assessor Banks and the entire Assessor’s Office, whose professionalism and commitment to public service continue to reflect positively on Jefferson County and the State of West Virginia.
