Advanced Stroke Life Support ® is a practical, hands-on, course that was developed by experts in stroke, emergency medicine, prehospital care, and nursing education to train EMS personnel, nurses, and physicians in stroke assessment and care, including a unique neurologic assessment tool-the MEND exam-ideal for both prehospital and hospital use.
There is no cost to the student for this course. The current version of the ASLS textbook is available (on loan) to students for use before and during the class or may be purchased at an additional cost through JCESA or any third- party seller.This course is open to all Jefferson County EMS providers.
