The Jefferson County Planning Commission has scheduled a Public Hearing on a proposed text amendment to the Jefferson County Envision Jefferson 2035 Comprehensive Plan (approved 1/14/15) to clarify and/or state that solar facilities are principal permitted uses in the rural and residential zoning districts, in accordance with WV Code 8A-3-11, 8A-3-6, and related statutes.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 7:00 PM as a virtual meeting via ZOOM.Virtual and phone conference information is available on the Planning Commission’s Agenda.
Comments may be provided during the public hearing; or, comments may also be submitted in advance of the meeting to planningdepartment@jeffersoncountywv.org or to PO Box 716, Charles Town, WV 25414. Written comments received by the Office of Planning and Zoning on or before November 30, 2021 will be included in the Planning Commission’s agenda packet. Late submissions will be submitted to the Planning Commission on the day of the meeting.
