NAEMT's Tactical Emergency Casualty Care course . This 16-hour course covers topics designed to decrease preventable death in the tactical situation. Topics include: Hemorrhage control; surgical airway control and needle decompression; strategies for treating wounded responders in threatening environments; caring for pediatric patients; and techniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety.
There is no cost for this course for Jefferson County EMS providers. For all others the cost is $85. For questions or additional information, contact Beth Jeffries or Bob Burner.

Required Textbook: None. The latest version of the TCCC text may be purchased from NAEMT or other source. However, content for this course is reviewed quarterly and the most current information is available on the NAEMT website.
