This course will provide a review of stroke causes and presentations. Review of the most commonly used tools to identify a patient with a possible stroke-i.e. Cincinnati Pre-hospital Stroke Scale and the “MEND” exam. Review of common stroke “mimics” and how to differentiate them from a true CVA.
