CHARLES TOWN, WV (September 27, 2024) – The Jefferson County Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of Krista Hoffman as the new executive director of the Jefferson County Development Authority (JCDA). With over 30 years of experience leading a multi-generational family-owned business in Jefferson County, Ms. Hoffman has a deep understanding of the local business landscape and is dedicated to advancing the county’s economic development.

Her background includes significant work in economic development in the Panhandle, where she has driven small business initiatives and retention efforts for the JCDA. Additionally, she has served as the assistant director of the Berkeley County Development Authority and is currently spearheading the Apple Butter Festival as the executive director of the Berkeley Springs-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce.

Commissioner Pasha Majdi, who advanced the motion to approve Ms. Hoffman’s hire, stated, “I’m eager to leverage Ms. Hoffman’s expertise in agritourism and as a local business owner to help Jefferson County expand our tourism industry, a top priority for residents and taxpayers.”
The Jefferson County Commission looks forward to Ms. Hoffman’s leadership in fostering innovation and growth for local businesses and enhancing community engagement, thereby strengthening the county's economic vitality.
