Teen Programs
Jefferson County Teen Court
Under an attorney serving as Judge, teens are tried and prosecuted by their peers. The Court's mission is to assist juvenile offenders in assuming responsibility for their criminal behavior, to hold them accountable for their actions, and to teach them to make better decisions in the future while treating them with respect; to involve the community through volunteer programs and community service opportunities; and to promote better communications between youth, parents, schools, law enforcement agencies and the community.
