How to Make Payments to the Jefferson County, WV Magistrate Court:
Payments can be made online if a PLEA agreement has been reached and fees are assessed. If paying online, please click the following link http://www.courtswv.gov/ and select Magistrate Court Payment System. You must have your Case ID number, Citation ID number, or Payment Plan ID number to use this option.
Payments may be made by mail by either check or money order made payable to Magistrate Court. Please
include
the case number and name on the check or money order. Payments may be mailed to PO Box 607,
Charles Town, WV 25414.
Payments may be made in person at the Magistrate Clerk’s Office located on the first floor of the Judicial
Complex located at 110 N. George St., Charles Town, WV 25414.
Payments made in person can be either by cash, check, money order, or all major credit cards. If paying by
credit, you must accept the 2.25% convenience fee charged on all payment card transactions.
Failure to pay in full all costs, fines, fees, forfeitures, restitution, or penalties within 180 days (in-state residences) and 90 days (out-of-state residences) from the date a plea is entered will result in a Notice of Delinquency. If you are unable to pay in full, you MUST request a Payment Plan. A Payment Plan requires the defendant to complete a financial affidavit and pay a $25 administration fee.
