The Jefferson County GIS/Addressing Office

is beginning a new Sign Inventory & Repair Project!

Many of the road signs installed as part of the 2003 Readdressing Project are either damaged or have become so faded that they are difficult to read. The problem is so systemic now, that a full sign inventory & repair project has been deemed necessary.

Over the next year, our office will be conducting field reviews of all County road signs. We will document what signs are missing, damaged, faded, or obstructed. Once the inventory is complete, we will begin the repair phase of the project, starting with missing and heavily damaged signs.

If you would like to report a missing, damaged, or faded sign, please fill out our Report Street Sign Problem Form: https://www.jeffersoncountywv.org/county-government/departments/gis-addressing/addressing/report-street-sign-problem or email us directly at gis@jeffersoncountywv.org. Please include pictures if possible.
