Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR)
The CAFR is an annual financial report that is prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) based on the modified accrual accounting system. The CAFR has two major sections: introductory and financial, and is audited in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS). The report is management's representation of the County's finances and is audited by either the WV State Auditor's Office or an independent firm of certified public accountants.
