Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) - The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is an all-risk, all-hazard training. This valuable course is designed to help you protect yourself, your family, your pets, your neighbors and your neighborhood in an emergency situation.

Citizen Corp - The Citizen Corps program was born in the wake of 9/11/2001 as a means of establishing relationships between local government and community volunteers. The on-going guiding principle of the Citizen Corps program is that we all have a role in hometown security.

Disaster Ready Kids - Do you have summer children's programs that you are looking for activities and/or readers for? We can help!

Storm Ready - Jefferson County has been designated as a StormReady Community since 2004.  StormReady is a program through the National Weather Service.  To be designated, a community must participate in activities including communications, National Weather Service information reception, hydro meteorological monitoring, local warning dissemination, community preparedness and administration.

Project Impact - Project Impact harnessed local support from all levels of government, public and private entities, and everyday people to facilitate and participate in emergency management. Although the program was officially canceled, the concept of developing coalitions to work toward disaster resilience had already taken firm roots in our community and was the basis of the many successful partnerships and collaborative projects that have been formed here.
