Jefferson County Emergency Communications records all telephone traffic in and out of the 9-1-1 center and all radio talkgroups associated with Jefferson County.  The ECC maintains these records in accordance to West Virginia Code §29B-1 (et.al) and §24-6-13.

The County charges a fee for persons or entities requesting information for the time and material that it takes to create duplicate recordings.  The fee schedule can be found here:

In order to request information, you must fill out the applicable Freedom of Information Act form in its entirety and submit it to the Emergency Communications Center:

Tape Request- Non-Criminal Justice - for use by the general public and non-emergency services agencies.

Tape Request- Criminal Justice - for use by Police, Fire, EMS and other Criminal Justice organizations
